The Boomerang Model: Where Your Electronics Go

We call our metal recovery process the boomerang model, because your materials leave the Yakima Valley and come back.

Step 1: Collection

Electronics and scrap metals are gathered from residents and commercial sites throughout our service area.

Step 2: Regional Processing

Materials are moved to Pacific Steel and Recycling, our trusted regional partner, then transported to specialized refining facilities in Idaho.

Step 3: Refining

At the refining facility, products are stripped down and melted into pure raw ingots, ready to become new materials.

Step 4: The Circular Return

Pacific Steel purchases those refined metals back and returns them to the Yakima Valley for local manufacturing.
