We Are Changing the Way Yakima Recycles

Yakima Eco Solutions was born from a belief that a community can do better. Better for the environment. Better for local businesses. Better for the families who call the Yakima Valley home.

"We are on a mission to transform the Yakima Valley into a model of sustainable living and a genuine circular economy."

Miriam Mendoza | Founder

Our Story

Yakima Eco Solutions was founded by Miriam Mendoza, a veteran and passionate advocate for sustainable living. After recognizing a significant gap in accessible, trustworthy recycling options in the Yakima Valley, Miriam set out to build something different: a service that combines logistical reliability with genuine environmental commitment.

We are a proud woman-owned and veteran-owned small business. We have been serving the Yakima community for over a year, and in that time we have built routes, relationships, and a reputation based on one simple promise: nothing we collect ever ends up in a landfill.

Our Zero Landfill Promise

This is not a marketing line. It is a commitment we stand behind with every pickup, every drop-off, and every product we sell. When you trust us with your recyclables, we take that responsibility seriously.

Every material we collect goes through a verified recycling or recovery process. We partner only with responsible processors and vendors who share our values. If we cannot recycle it responsibly, we will tell you.

Our Values

Transparency

We show our work. You will always know where your recyclables go and why it matters.

Reliability

We show up. Your route, your pickup, your schedule. Consistent and dependable, every time.

Community First

We are not a faceless corporation. We are your neighbors, and we care about this place as much as you do.

Innovation

From glass-to-sand processing to our expanding Eco Store, we are always looking for better ways to close the loop.

Our Partners

We do not do this alone. Our partnerships with Michelson Packaging, Pacific Steel and Recycling, GrindIt, and Petals for Patients make our circular economy model work. Every partner plays a role in keeping materials out of landfills and inside the Yakima Valley economy.
